Overview

The Police Mutual Benevolent Association of Vancouver (PMBA) pledges to not sell or intentionally disclose your personal information to any third party, without your consent. The members' area of our website is designed to only permit verified members to access content; however, use of this site is at the user's own risk. By providing personal information, you are providing at your own risk and we cannot guarantee the privacy of that information.

Collection, use and disclosure of personal information

The PMBA collects private information in order to verify members meet the criteria for membership and to maintain a list of members who are eligible to participate in society activities. We will never intentionally disclose your information to a third party without your consent.

Giving consent for others

If you register a guest for an event, volunteer opportunity, or other PMBA activity, we will not intentionally sell or disclose that information to any third party, without your consent. By providing personal information for a guest, you are providing at your/their own risk and we cannot guarantee the privacy of that information.

Third-parties applications

We do not intentionally share information with any third party, except with the consent of the information holder. Examples being:

- Contacting your workplace to verify your employment or advocate on your behalf.

- Providing guest lists for pre-registered events when a venue requires it.

- In an emergency situation.

- Other situations as they arise.

Vancouver Police Department

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) has no direct involvement with the administration or accessibility of this website. The VPD does not collect or store any information related to this website or membership database, beyond periodically providing the PMBA a list of members who are actively paying dues through VPD payroll deductions. Although The PMBA and VPD have a positive and supportive relationship with one another, The PMBA is its own separate entity that is administered by a volunteer board of directors.
